Another night. Another meeting. At worst this was her last night among the living. Or maybe being released from this life would finally mean peace. But odds are this would begin yet another hunt for some dark thing. At least it wouldn't be boring.

This is a bit of a reworking of a short story I wrote for a class. Let's just say it was a while back. I have a larger story in mind that this inspired but I am not anywhere near working on it yet. I found this rummaging around old files on my computer and figured why not let it out for some air.
