The adventures of Fern, Omega, and the boys of the Bad Batch continue after the destruction of Kamino a few months prior.
While the idea is to lay low now that they are all presumed dead, trouble seems to follow them anywhere they go, from discount pod-racing to facing off against what was an extinct species...and something even bigger and more dangerous they could ever imagine...
While Fern's relationship and feelings with Hunter grows everyday, someone else's feelings grows for her...
Fern also realizes Omega is growing up and, after experiencing many life-changing events even a soldier like herself found difficult to process, must become more than a protector and mentor...Fern must become so much more...
Meanwhile, as Crosshair continues to show his loyalty to the evermore ruthless Empire, a new woman by the name of Athena appears before him and challenges his perspective, whether for better or for worse...

The Bad Batch: Tech and Vel
During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech. If you want to read a slow burn about Crosshair, this is for you. It is completely cannon compliant and fun to read if you have seen the first season. It fits into the season as if it was always a part of what was happening. What if Crosshair stays with the empire because he has more there that just being a good soldier to come back to? Written in novel format based on Season 1 of the Bad Batch, this is a platonic romance that dives into the darkness of what Kamino has done to the clones and what the future holds for them after Order 66 and the enactment of War-Mantle. As an author, I enjoy looking deeper at the issues of interpersonal drama woven together with politics.
