While the idea is to lay low now that they are all presumed dead, trouble seems to follow them anywhere they go, from discount pod-racing to facing off against what was an extinct species...and something even bigger and more dangerous they could ever imagine...

While Fern's relationship and feelings with Hunter grows everyday, someone else's feelings grows for her...

Fern also realizes Omega is growing up and, after experiencing many life-changing events even a soldier like herself found difficult to process, must become more than a protector and mentor...Fern must become so much more...

Meanwhile, as Crosshair continues to show his loyalty to the evermore ruthless Empire, a new woman by the name of Athena appears before him and challenges his perspective, whether for better or for worse...

The Bad Batch: Tech and Vel by CT-9902

During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech. While sitting in my room in April 2020, vibin', I'm suddenly launched into the Clone Wars universe and find myself on a world in the Outer Rim roughly 5 months after the Battle of Kamino. Salt and self-awareness of fanfic tropes ensue, but I soon realize I have bigger problems; the Bad Batch is after me to help them on a mission. Not only that, but this isn't exactly the Clone Wars I remember. Why are they after me, you ask? Good question, let's find out together.

Six grueling months of separation have changed the Batch. Crosshair is done. He's given up trying to fight, feeling as if there's no point in even trying. Omega is fueled. She's ready to come home to her family, no matter the risks. Althea is tired. Tired of losing people, tired of Hunter's overprotective nature, tired of failing. Hunter is desperate. Finding Omega leads the team to dangerous places, and he's terrified of losing the family he has left. Wrecker is worried. He wants nothing more than for his family to be put back together, but with Omega and Crosshair missing, Tech gone, Echo with Rex, and Hunter and Althea's relationship being strained, that proves to be more difficult than he'd like.
