Life isn't all peaches and cream for innocent Toby Myers. I mean, how is it supposed to be when almost the entire pack makes it their job to let Toby know that being gay is a sin? Then, add the fact that he gets rejected by his alpha mate, Matthew Richardson, and you'll end up with a Toby that's broken and tired.

So like any sane person, he runs. He can't take it anymore and ends up in a pack on the other side of the country. What is Toby to do when this pack's alpha claims that Toby is his mate. Toby is convinced that the Moon Goddess got it all wrong and just wants to see him suffer.

Follow Toby as he makes decisions that could make him or break him. Not to mention the bumps in the road along the way.

*Short Story* It is difficult to stay with the people who look down at you like you are some kind of disease. It hurts when they don't want to acknowledge you for the good things you have done. It hurts when your family rejects you only because you are quiet and weak saying you are good for nothing. Annie Ryan was nothing but a quiet, innocent teenager waiting for her mate to save her from the dark hell she was living in. She had only one dream, she wanted to feel loved, she wanted someone to tell her that they care and would love her no matter what happens. But little did she know that she was just another unfortunate soul whose mate had different plans. Caden was an young alpha. He had everything but where everyone was eager to meet their mate, he wasn't. He had already given his position of alpha female to his girlfriend. But after she left him, he turned cold and ruthless. But when he met Annie, his mate, one thing was clear. He wanted nothing to do with her. He asked her to leave but when she declined, he paid her no attention like she never existed. Annie was broken. Her dream was just a dream. Every night she closed her eyes, she realized she was going to die alone with no one to care. She wanted to end her life but not before setting everything right, not before her destined alpha mate finds his happiness. Caden didn't know what he was missing until he lost it. Maybe that's how life works. Maybe that's why it is called cruel.

Callum Black. That was Callum's name, his identity, yet he was never called that. His family, his pack, his peers, and just about everybody else called him weak, pathetic, ugly, faggot, worthless. So that had become his identity, not Callum Black. Callum's father was the pack's Beta, and his siblings were the sort that made a strong pack leader proud. Callum had always been a bit of a runt, perhaps enduringly, until it was not anymore, until he was thirteen and decidedly Omega and it was embarrassing. To him, to his father, to his pack. Ryker Adam's was the son of the Alpha, and had everything going for him. He was gonna do great things and make his father proud. He was adored. So when the little, mousy male Omega turned out to be his mate he did not hesitate in remedying that. It was not really surprising; Ryker was Callum's public enemy #1 and the stuff of his nightmares. This was the beginnings of Callum's story. Callum ran. Callum ran into the arms of his found family and himself. And he was definitely not who he thought he was. A cruel twist of fate and the whims of the gods had changed everything. While he was gone the pack was changing too, including the people who had hurt him. Four long years had passed. And Callum was coming home, but he bore no resembles to the boy that had left. This was a man, a monster.
