[Book #1 of Twisted Deception] "You people don't know a damn thing about us, don't even speak." **** Everyone knows that high school is always something to dread. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? Come along on the journey as these eight try to survive their last year of high school. ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: This contains strong language, mentions of rape, bullying, etc.

Aria, Meredith, Elie, and Madison have almost nothing in common. Aria is one of the most popular girls you could ever meet. Being the most pretty cheerleader brings a lot of popularity (and boys). Everyone knows her name and outsiders desperately try to get in with her but she never lets them. She only hangs out with the inner circle, as the high schoolers at Tomridge high call it. Meredith is a loner who would rather keep to herself than talk to anyone. You can often find her nose stuck in a book. She is a rather clumsy girl but that just adds onto how cute she is. Although she is ditzy she has a good heart. Elie is the smartest girl in her grade. She is constantly bombarded by people trying to copy answers off her homework and people looking for a tutor. She helps them only in exchange for information. Behind the scenes she sells information on teachers and other students to all those who seek it. She does so secretly and goes by the code name E. Madison is that one girl who is on Varsity soccer, Varsity Volleyball and Varsity Basketball. She is on the top of her game and has already been offered five scholarships in her Junior year. Secretly she doesn't like playing competitive sports but is pressured into it by her athlete friends. All she wants to do is just do well in high school and move on from that chapter in her life. Like I said, these girls have almost nothing in common, except for one thing. Lia. They were all Lia's best friends before she got kidnapped. After Lia was rescued over the summer she got put into therapy by her worried mom. During therapy Lia talks about her best friends and how thinking of them helped her cope with surviving her kidnapping.

"You're leaving for Scotland ?" I asked in astonishment. "When ?" My best friend, Katherine stared into my blue eyes. "Tonight." "Wait, what ? You're leaving tonight and you didn't even tell me earlier ?" No, she wouldn't do this. She must have been joking. She shrugged. Her brown eyes shined under the sun. "I now tell you." "Yeah. Thanks for telling me now." I folded my arms in front of my chest. "But why ?" "I need to start over a new life." She moved her sight away, not looking at me. I shook my head. This wasn't right. "You think that I can manage my high school life without my best friend ?" Her blonde curls were blown in the wind. "Then make a new one." She said still facing Thames. "What ? You are the only one that I can talk about those boys-" She cut me off, "About the boys, don't judge their faces again, please. As I always have said, keep personality in mind." I stood there dumbfounded. What was happening ? "Goodbye, Andy." She then walked away. 2016. January
