My name is Genesis Haven and I'm twelve years old and I have dreams like any other kid my age. Well that was before the world ended, my dream of being a famous violinist like my father shattered when the world did . And when it happened I wasn't even twelve at the time I was six, can you believe it six!
This isn't just some zombie apocalypse this is far worse, but then again what's worse then zombies?
Honestly if I had a choice I'd rather take on the living dead then people because the dead can be predictable. Living humans however are not and that's what makes them really dangerous and scary.
The whole world went to shit when a world wide global crash happened, I'm not sure on the details exactly but all I know is that it involved an economic crash followed by chaos, civil unrest, and lastly the breakdown of law and order as we knew it. Or at least that's what my father told me, but now he's dead along with my mom and now I'm all alone in this messed up world we call home with my little brother Jack. I guess it's up to me to keep surviving and protecting Jack after all that's what i can do right?
Endure what the world dishes out and try surviving it all?
Like I said I'd rather take on the living dead.

~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem.
