That was when I wondered what I was doing, on that cold April night, on a street filled with the sound of approaching sirens. Then I came to the conclusion that I should probably start running the other way. So, with my blood, sweat, and tear stained face, I steadied myself and allowed for my fight or flight instincts to kick in. The sirens were getting louder, approaching faster, and I started moving the way that would lead away from them. All thoughts left my brain, other than one.
Live.
