(INDEFINITE HIATUS)
What if Bakugo was actually 'nice'?
Midoriya has been friends with Bakugo for as long as he can remember. They grew up loving the same hero, sharing the same dreams--yet out of nowhere, during their first year of middle school, Bakugo changes. Though he isn't the one who tears up his notebooks or pushes him down the stairs, Bakugo watches it all without batting an eye anymore. Before he knows it, life with Bakugo becomes torture--forcing himself to endure his cheerful yet subtly brutal remarks every day. Yet somehow, there is a spark of hope: Midoriya gets accepted to UA.
The question is, will getting accepted change anything? And will he ever get his old friend back?
If it isn't clear, this is an experimental fic, where everything in MHA is the same, except Bakugo has his beta personality of "inadvertently insulting people". In other words, he is a conniving, passive aggressive nightmare of a manipulator instead of his angry, explosive self.
This fic is also my way of exploring how to write this kind of character. It's just an exercise, so it'll be short (5-7 chapters), but hopefully kind of fun.
