Valentine's day. Quite possibly the WORST holiday of the year. February 14. Madeline has always hated it. Same old stupid thing every year. Madeline's past the "sucks-to-be-single" mindset. You don't need a boy to buy chocolate and watch good movies when you can do that on your own. However her friends refuse to agree with her. They see being dateless at the Valentine's Day Dance a label of the utmost shame. But when the mysterious new kid arrives, Madeline's hard reluctance to find a date is challenged. What if Valentine's day became a game? 15 names. 28 days. That's the new kid's proposal. Madeline's hunger for competition overrides common sense as time ticks. Her friends' challenge births new problems. Including a very flirty, leather jacket wearing, new kid. Madeline's confidence quickly fades as she realizes in her desperation to avoid Cupid, she ironically finds herself caught tightly in his gasp.

Larkin Knolls is a superhero. Combine that with being a sophomore in high school, and she's got her calendar booked. Homework, crime fighting, and the occasional binge movie marathon leave her no free time. At all. When a series of assassination attempts occur in her town, Larkin knows something's up. Only another super such as herself could have stayed in hiding for so long. There must be a villain on the loose. However, not everything is black and white. The line between good and evil is blurred, and the villain might not be as evil as she originally thought. #NotAllAreHeroes #WrittenInAction
