♡︎ 1760, Y/n L/n, 19 year old girl in the castle of Windsor, worked well off as a common maid, and close servant to his Highness, George II. Never too close though. A poor girl, who'd come from an orphanage in colonial America, working to live, with no relatives. His Highness not soon falls Ill, and with passing, she finds herself falling under the hand of someone rather cruel. Someone who strikes her interest, as she strikes his, but she finds him distasteful, and cunning. She does her best to not disturb nor get too close to the man, but that doesn't last long.

"Have you ever loved anyone?" his tone was serious. "Love has many forms. I loved my mother and father..." I trailed off, hoping he would not catch on to my lie. "A blatant lie. You had no parents...
