Because of this her mom forbid her from using it but eventually kids at school found out and of course got picked on due to it. Then the League of villains kidnapped her due to her connection to her dad. So there you have it. She was born to be a villain. There's no other explanation- I mean look at her life. It's such a simple set up. She was born for this. She must be this. She will be this.

You take on that chance and you work hard to achieve that goal, along with training with that pro hero. As the faithful day came, you were accepted into UA! Unfortunately, you miss the whole first two days of the semester due to a cold. Soon enough, finally attended UA and meet your fellow, student peers. You finally found a place where you belong!
