Ο Κωνσταντής είναι ένας νεαρός, ορφανός από γονείς, που μεγαλώνει με το θείο του, απόμαχο καπετάνιο, στην Πάτρα των αρχών του 20ου αιώνα. Παρασυρμένος από την ορμή του νεαρού της ηλικίας του, αποφασίζει να το σκάσει από το σπίτι του για να καταταγεί ως εθελοντής στον ελληνικό στρατό προκειμένου να πάρει μέρος στον Α' Βαλκανικό πόλεμο, που από μέρα σε μέρα πρόκειται να ξεσπάσει. Οι κακουχίες του πολέμου πρόκειται να σκληραγωγήσουν τον νεαρό Κωνσταντή και να τον προετοιμάσουν για το νέο σκαλοπάτι της ζωής του. Στη συνέχεια, ο Κωνσταντής, μην έχοντας άλλο τρόπο να αντιμετωπίσει τη φτώχεια του, αποφασίζει να μπαρκάρει σαν ναυτικός. Στην πορεία του αυτή η μοίρα τον φέρνει αντιμέτωπο με νέες εμπειρίες και έναν απρόσμενο έρωτα, για να καταλήξει τελικά στην επίλυση του μυστηρίου της δολοφονίας του μεγαλύτερου αδερφού του που είχε συμβεί στα χρόνια του Μακεδονικού αγώνα.All Rights Reserved
