4 years after defeating Dr. Zomboss and halting the creation of any more zombies, life has improved severely for the survivors and the Plants who've helped them. The number of zombies on Earth has decreased drastically, and they have an endless supply of food, entertainment, and protection. The only real struggle has been helping to raise the new person that has entered their lives. But that all changes one day thanks to an intelligent lunatic, a sentient time machine, and a plate of delicious tacos.

Join the humans and Plants as they travel through time and space trying to find their way home, fighting zombies from the past and future in the process! It's a challenge bigger than any of them have ever faced, and they all wonder if they'll make it out alive, but only time will tell.
