Rudeus was left devasted when Eris left him. Instead of wallowing in despair, he decides to move on from this heartbreak. He vows to become the best version of himself, to become the strongest and wisest he can be and to utilize this second chance to the best. As he intended to do from the start.
This fanfic is basically a what if scenario in which Rudeus becomes cold after his heartbreak experience and instead of wasting time on frivolous matters, uses it to become stronger. Rudeus does not peak at 5 years old and actually focuses on improving his magic and swordsmanship. He reaches his full potential.
