The government replaces everyone's left arm with a robotic one, which they can take control of at any given time. Most people are born without left arms to make amputation unnecessary through forced genetics. A girl named Nyra somehow misses these genetics, and is born with a left arm. She escapes amputation and runs away to live with natives in hiding. She lives as a native for 16 years before returning to the city, mind set on revolution.

It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.

He doesn't think her a worthy opponent, and leaves her unharmed. But the rival super predators, and the hunters from his clan, don't care that she's inferior in battle, she's fair game to them. Joining forces with her, and the other humans they go up against the predators in a fight for survival and a way off of the game reserve planet. Along the way, a bond develops and she starts to have mixed feelings about leaving the planet. If they succeed, she can't go with him to his home planet, and he can't stay on her's. Will she decide to stay on the game reserve, with Vata in a never-ending fight for survival. Or will she choose to go back to earth, and only have her memories of him? If they win...Complete

**COMPLETED*** This is book 2 and can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read "Fated" first. Something caught my eye and when I looked up in the mirror I saw Rykan stepping inside, shutting the door and sliding the lock in place. My heart hammered in my chest as he approached me. He came right up behind me, setting his hands on my hips, never breaking our gaze through the mirror. "Kora," he murmured, stepping closer until my back brushed against his chest. His hand slid down to the end of my skirt and he flattened his palm against my bare leg, sliding his hand up my skirt. "I'm married," I blurted, swallowing hard and trying to ignore how much I liked the way it felt having his hands on me. "Hm," he grunted, narrowing his eyes as he continued his ascension up my outer thigh. His touch sent tingles all over my body, sending heat right between my legs. He gripped my leg and suddenly turned me, his hand now palming my ass as he pulled me against him, his teeth scraping against my neck as his other hand up to my neck. "Didn't seem to bother you when you had me down your throat last night," he said, wrapping his hand around my throat and lifting his head to give me one of those heart-stopping stares.
