Fallon Mitreya D'nay is the third princess of a kingdom sentenced to the madness of an eccentric queen, who has turned the nation into her little playground. Born from the magic of that paranoid woman, Fallon lives imprisoned by the rules of her games. However, despite having enough power to flee from there, she is forced to stay for fear of the danger that her sisters may experience.
When a mistake leads her to face punishment from her mother, she ends up being expelled from the palace and thrown into the worst place in the nation. The Arena is the largest coliseum in the kingdom. Only the condemned can enter and, although survival is their best talent, the sunlight becomes a very high wall for their objective.
Fallon is The Darkness, she is the Shadow made flesh and blood. With an ancient magic running through her veins, a misunderstood power of hers and a fateful destiny for her and hers, she is forced to do what she never did: make the nights a moment of peace.
The monsters lurking in the darkness are hungry and Fallon is ready to free them. The fall of her mother's dynasty is only a matter of time.

Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes.
