The story starts off with a flash back and explanation as why (Foster) or; Rexian Foster, a 26 year old law student who has just been moved up to detective in her cities SVU unit, never says sorry and never says I promise.
Rexian Foster has just been moved up to an SVU detective and slowly starts to feel like she's out for more than she can bargain for. Witnessing the crimes she's investigating and hearing the back stories start to bring up suppressed traumas from her child hood and she's starting to feel like she's out of control.
When a victim grows an un keenly attachment to Foster she's forced to choose between making the girl figure it out on her own or helping. As the two try to grow accustomed to each other's boundaries and bare part in each others lives; the two start to feel something strange. Once Foster gets a hold of her feelings and understands she starts to push Nicole away.
Will Foster understand that sometimes you can't fight love and let your past reflect who you are today? Or will the two have to struggle with the separation and try and move on?
