You've played all of the Call of Duty games, read the character back stories, and even some fan fiction. You wake up one morning to find your cod collection gone, and upon doing some research it never existed..

You come to discover you're in their world now, and you know everything about them. You do your best to avoid them and stay away from key places in the story line. Along the way you accidentally run into a few them, and without realizing . . Say Simon Riley's name. How will you survive this one?
------------------
This will follow the main storyline for the MW2 game, but ofc will trail off a bit to fit some themes. Will be trying a self insert style, if I have trouble I'll just use the given code name, "Viator" meaning traveler.

He was a shadow who lurked in darkness, She was the light who illuminated his existance. He was a puzzle wrapped in an enigma, She was the bane to his existance. He was a man after his own heart, She was his heartbeat. If he was winter, she was his spring, And he couldn't face it without her. Simon Riley was no stranger to loss. From the brutal murder of his broken family, to the life of every soldier snuffed out by the bullet of a faceless enemy. Having his loved ones, his friends unceremoniously torn away from him never got any easier. It wounded him in ways that, while not visible, cut him deeper than any knife ever could. The toll it took permeated every aspect of his existance, infiltrating his sense of self and dismantling his identity. A once deeply empathetic man found himself surrendering to indifference; suffocating meaningful connections before they had time to breathe. He sought solace in detatching himself from others before they could affect him deeply enough for their eventual loss to shatter what little humanity he clung to. Over time, a callous layer formed around Simon's heart- as though an impenetrable shield encased him. Throbbing emotional wounds slowly turned into numb scars, each one an indelible mark on his soul. It felt like he was drowning; being pulled under by an invisible undertow into the depths of sorrow. Every breath became a battle, each gasp a desperate attempt to surface above the crushing waves of loss. Through the suffocating darkness, there was no tranquility. No respite from the insatiable abyss that consumed joy and drowned laughter. It wasn't any one thing that slowly began to chip away at Simon's carefully constructed walls. By the time he became the cornerstone of Task Force 141, very few people knew the man beneath it all. The real Simon Riley, that was until, she came along. Story will include slowburn and erotica. "You think vampires are hot because you want to be craved so badly that your presence sustains another person." Simon Riley had his life stolen more than once, and somehow he chose to keep standing, walking, fighting. He hadn't lost that desire to put things right in the world. It seemed other humans did sustain him, in a way. In a way he despised and railed against. But still, he clung to the fringes of their lives, driven by the idea that if he couldn't have a life of his own, the next best thing is making sure they didn't suffer the same. Eventually, someone saw him, gave him some routine, some purpose, and he clung to that like a life line. He would never have a normal life. He supposed he had never really wanted one. But every once in a beautiful blue moon, something showed up that filled him with earth-shattering, grave-digging sadness at the knowledge that it wasn't an option. CW: Check tags. There will be some blood, and talk of Simon's past trauma including SA.
