50 years after the defeat of Bluefeather and ThunderClan have passed and the Clans are nearly wiped out by disease, environmental disaster, each other, and the threat of loners that have thinned out their numbers. Now that the Clans are struggling to stay together, tensions rise to take territory and get more recruits. 

Pricklepaw's desire to prove her worth to ThunderClan and show her skills has gotten her to have a steady reputation amongst the other apprentices in the Clans. She is gunning to be made a warrior as soon as she can, but Cricketstar refuses. But why? 

Being close to your Clan's leader is an honor amongst the Clans, but it's seen as especially special when your leader takes interest in you when you're an apprentice. Bluepaw of SkyClan has a deep bond with Poppystar following the slaughter of her mate in a heated battle with RiverClan. As tensions rise between SkyClan and RiverClan, Bluepaw is torn between his complicated feelings for his best friend, his Clan leader's desire for revenge, and his own morals.

Mintbite has served as RiverClan's medicine cat ever since he and his half-siblings were brought into the Clan. He's loved treating his Clanmates and speaking with StarClan. However, what happens when a cloud covers the moon, and StarClan becomes unreachable? How is it possible to be the Clan medicine cat if he cannot speak with StarClan anymore?All Rights Reserved

On top of that drama Leopardwillow still has to save her clan from whatever danger lies ahead-little does she know her stubborn apprentice might be the cause for all this chaos... Excerpt: Flamestar's one amber eye shone in the moonlight; the moon soon disappeared from within the clouds. "I did not fail Junipercloud." Leopardwillow spat, "you should know not to kill warriors during things so ridiculous as border skirmishes Starclan doesn't want us to kill each other." By now her fur stood on end but Flamestar looked terrifyingly calm. "I suppose, but the way I see it there should only be one clan not two. How ridiculous our ancestors decided it." Flamestar said with a curious tone. "I shall make this short before we depart young warrior - I'd watch my back from now on if I were you." the orange she-cat said thoughtfully. Timberheart leapt off the boulder "Is that a threat?!" he growled. Flamestar thought her words over "Maybe. Lakeclan to me!" she yowled before either of them had time to respond. However, when StarClan tell her of this evil, she may get the chance to prove herself to everyone. Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment. Being a healer who suffers from severe anxiety isn't easy, but Twitchpaw knows as long as her mentor is there, she can get through it. But as tensions rise between FlameClan and CliffClan, she's worried about the future ahead of them.
