The Broken Throne is a lightly doctored manuscript of a live roleplaying game that I am running with nine friends, each of which plays a character in the story. This probably won't read like familiar fiction, because not even I can reliably predict what turns the story will take, so please be understanding. Hopefully, having a real person deciding the actions for each character will lend a sense of authenticity to the tale, as I do my best to hold together a loosely definable plot.
Who knows, maybe our rag tag group of would-be adventurers will be able to save their kingdom, each other, or the world.

A Lord and Lace (Regency au! Prince Arthur x oc)
A wayward regency au one shot I wrote for fun, and because the concept wouldn't stop haunting my mind. ~ Trying to get back up after his ex-fiancé left him, Lord Arthur Pendragon relents to his friends and families idea of hosting a party in his family's estate. Although holding up hope for a new love that evening, he could not predict falling head over heel for a woman with haunted eyes, who secretly hides a crooked and wicked grin and a spark of intrigue unlike any he's glimpses before. After catching the sight of that side of her, and the way her families mistreatment severely dampens it, he finds himself sure of one thing. He's going to get her out their grasp, but doing so might be more tricky then first expected. Miss Harriet Frodesdotter is stuck in a hell of constantly being forced into a uncomfortable, lace covered, dress, into unbearably loud ballrooms, and dealing with condescending suitors that her controlling sister manages to steer towards her. The sudden approach by a Lord Pendragon does make her pause however, his sweet and concerned eyes appearing to be almost horrifyingly sincere as he offers to help her with her family issues. She doesn't trust him, he's not the first to claim to be her savour for purely selfish reasons, but something tells her that there's something more to him, and not in a bad way. ~ Content warning for ableism, family issues (including abuse, I don't perceive it as especially graphic, but it's there) and depictions of meltdowns.Complete
Entering The Forbidden
Once we were one. One kingdom. One king. One powerful nation. But two greedy warriors destroyed that. They shattered our empire in two. Breaking apart people. Turning a peaceful age into one of war and death. My kin went into hiding while the world was in turmoil. Peace may have come but it is shaky, resting on a blade of a sword. The true heir is out there. He will venture past our borders to be aided by a wanted, a rebel, and a mistake. They will help unite the realms into one once again. Then the heir will sit on the throne to unite us again. At least that's the legend. What we are told to believe. What 'must' be true. The only reason the elders are still living,to see an age of unity once again. But you'll see. Maybe they didn't hold on for so long for nothing. Maybe. Maybe we will live to see unity.Complete

Mercy & Fire
Adrenaline pumped in my veins as I pressed myself against the large tree trunk, hoping the darkness would conceal me from my impending doom. My heart hammered against my ribs and cold sweat gathered at my palms and chest. His armor clanked and clinked, scraping against itself as he grew closer and closer... Then silence. "Come out little rabbit." The voice was deep and menacing, and I would've soiled myself right there if I were any younger. I couldn't see very well, but I could see what little moonlight that filtered through the trees reflected off a pale face. His gaze was like a hungry, crazed wolf hunting its prey. "Found you." *** Roselena is satisfied with helping her father run his printing business in her childhood village, but in the face of kingdom rising against kingdom, she finds herself thrown into a world of political tensions, magical beings, and the plot of a God. She struggles to define who she is, what she believes, and who she can trust. Worst of all, she seems to have been snared by a cruel King who can't seem to leave her alone.
