After confronting Arlo and Remi in a courtyard and instigating a fight unwinnable for them, John feels the immense pressure of a power thought to be permanently gone. Facing a fight with his former friend, Seraphina, John is forced into a situation where he truly embraces the old. Unready and unwilling to change yet, John stands his ground with his years of experience propping him up to face the goddess who wants to talk. John knows what Seraphina wants, he's just not willing to give it. (This story is a take on the alternate future that could have been in Unordinary had John been more stable during his fight with Seraphina. This piece will delve into the idea of the final fight not being a simple solution where Seraphina breaks through to John, but starts an entirely different series of events with a slower path to reconciliation.) Taking his fathers words to heart, John Doe returns to Wellston with the intention of expelling himself from the hierarchy; attempting to turn over a new leaf with the ones he fought with for weeks. A short time after John's return, Isen comes to him battered and bruised from a late night battle pleading for assistance as both Seraphina and Arlo are nowhere to be found. With Blyke and Remi's well beings on the line, John has to make a decision to either become the man his wishes to be, or to remain the cold king he was before. How will this unforeseen event build and destroy bridges that were once thought to be unbreakable, and those that were thought to be permanently broken. (All Events take place as John is returning to Wellston and he begins to realize that Seraphina is hiding things from him, however, John has not made any attempt yet to join the Safe House and the clubs trip is still in the planning phase.)
