Azaziah Azar is not like the pirates he shares a ship with. He never would have led them to the fabled Golden Siren if he'd known it really existed. He wishes he hadn't.

Az and the siren are both trapped on board The Merry, captained by the unstable Rowan Slade and forced to work for him. At first, they want nothing to do with each other. To Az, the siren is an unfeeling, dangerous predator. To the siren, Az is just another pirate out to make a pretty penny off his shining golden scales. But as Slade's plans for the siren escalate, Az realises that maybe sirens and humans aren't so different after all.

When feelings start to develop between the two, and Slade's work causes the siren's stress to reach its peak, Az will learn that what is right isn't always what is easy.

In a world of gods, pirates, and blessings, Phoenix Finch lives in a small coastal town secluded from the rest of the world. In a town that values rules, traditions, and law above all else, Phoenix has never known of anything else. When he is both rescued and kidnapped by the most fearsome pirate of them all, Nico Maheras, The West Wind, he is brought into a world so unlike his own. Scared and alone, he lashes out, and the captain lashes right back. As he is introduced to more and more of the crew, he finds that maybe, Pirates aren't as bad as he thought, and maybe the captain isn't as scary as he seems. He begins to settle into the ship, finding friendship and freedom. But when his sister is kidnapped by Redcoats for her blessing, he must take action and save her along with his new friends. But Phoenix will soon find out there is more to himself, the captain, and this story, than it seems. - - - This is the first draft of my novel, which took about a year to write. As such, this is somewhat unedited, and needs improvement. Constructive criticism is both wanted and appreciated. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Cover is mine, made with AutoDesk Sketchbook and BeFunky photo editor. - - - - Content warnings: Kidnapping, Violence, Cursing, Fighting, Torture, Death, mentions of past s*xual assault, and slavery. Please let me know if there's any other warnings that you think should be added! (I swear that makes it sound so much worse than it actually is. This is a lighthearted story about friendship, self discovery, family, and freedom.)

When Alistair Melek gave his life to the sea, a various degree of things changed. For starters, his love for bloodshed was exemplified. Bolder. He was drawn to the clash of a sword, blood spiling below to floorboards, like a moth drawn to a flame. And this love was damned to spread through his crew as some treacherous disease, claiming any and all who joined. But he knew this was the price he'd pay. The price for the sea itself. So when his crew completes another standard loot and pillage from a merchant ship, he allows his men a bit of fun. He liked to give them an audience, rounding up those who didn't fall victim to the blade during battle, and forcing them to beg for their lives. To prove how much they really wanted to live. Alistair had ruled the sea for some years now. Killed thousands, maybe tens of thousands. Destroyed hundreds, maybe thousands of vessels. And yet, each feeble human was all the same. There was not one man he threatened that didn't beg for their lives with all they had in them when faced with the wrong end of the sword. Each feeble human was always the same. Or so he thought. And yet, he also thought that this would be one standard job. A treat for his men after a night of good work. But this particular survivor, the one with long white hair and dead looking eyes... He wasn't a merchant. He couldn't have been. More important, there was no hesitancy when Alistair asked the fairly built man whether he wanted to live, and the man replied with a simple no.

Book 2 in the Varashi Collection: Mermaid X Siren AU In the depths of the sea, Sirens and Merfolk don't get along (you know, with the latter sometimes ending up on the Siren's plates...) But Varian (siren) urgently needs to get into the library of their city. He's searching for the kingdom of Sirens, who are currently just scattered in small groups all across the oceans. He believes if he can find that lost kingdom, he'll reunite with his parents (he's living with Andrew and his group who took him in). And since he can't enter enemies' territory on his own, he's found himself a helping hand. And Lashanie (mermaid) - well, she pays the price for ignoring her Sister's warnings one too many times and leaving safe waters to gather plants. :') DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the characters give Varashie Art Credit to @o0whiterabbit0o on DeviantArt
