Nergui Qestir was raised by his grandmother and never knew his parents, who died before he was old enough to have conscious thoughts and memories. He lived for 34 years not knowing much about them or caring. Once his destiny as a Prophet of Nhaama (a Warrior of Light) who would help prevent a calamity was fulfilled, he settled down and opened up a magic shoppe in Gridania. During the celebration of Heavensturn, he received strange visions from the crystals and his echo that suggest the story of his parents' death was quite different than what he was told.
