In a world where private military organizations reign supreme, Indra, a genetically engineered soldier, serves under Lunar Gate, the premier contractor to the world's most powerful country, Yuèliàng.

Spliced with various genetic progenitors and trained to be killing machines, these soldiers are raised to display unparalleled skills called Traits. These abilities evolve under conditions of extreme stress, harshly shortening their users' lifespans in the process. However, Indra has no Traits of his own.

When a seemingly routine mission goes awry, Indra's encounter with an ancient malevolence bestows him with a unique skill that sets him on a path to explore the mysterious Sunken Forest, an area overflowing with strange energy.

Separated from his friends, thrust into an unfamiliar environment, will he be able to navigate the dangers that lurk within and make it out alive?
