They always told us it was dangerous. And I knew that. But I was always one to not listen. I can't stay trapped in thick, black walls. I can't resist knowledge. My mom told me, that centuries ago, it was taught to children that space never ends. I think that's beautiful, no end to something. But I see how that could scare someone. Not knowing what's out there. But just imagine how incredibly confined you would feel if you knew there was an end. You are in a box. Well now we know that, and walls are closing in on us. They may not be fast enough to catch me in my life time, but what about our future children? And their children and their children. These rocks and steel walls can with hold a rocket launch. But can they with hold the universe closing in on them?

INCAPABLE - BOOK I: THE FALLEN
ONCE my mom told me that we, as humans, only fear what we do not know and that that is the sole reason for violence. We do not know what is to come of something, so in retaliation we immediately fight it off before we can ever find out; before we can ever see if there is any beauty in it. My mom is gone now. Along with any sanity we as a people have left. The year is 2193, and the world is at war. We, humans, are at war with each other only because of what we are and what we can do. We fear what we do not know, thus all we know is ignorance. The government, our democracy, our people and our world have fallen. Nothing good ever comes from being afraid of the abnormalities of others, especially when those abnormalities are amazing. The truth is, none of us are normal. Everyone's definition of normality is different, making it humanly impossible for anyone to ever accomplish the craved label of "normal". Then again, everything we have grown capable of was once described as humanly impossible. By those standards none of us are human. Not even me. A U T H O R ' S N O T E : This book is completed and there will be a second book coming out sometime next year, most likely in the summer. Please excuse any grammar issues or misspellings I have. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. The year is 3068, the idea of a Mechanical city that can shield the world from all dangers is at last a reality. Utopia was a world where humans would be safe from everything. Things in Utopia were designed to be perfect, but they didn't go as planned. As the entire human race was pulled into its walls something went wrong with the center power core. The machines molded into killers, destroying Utopia and everything it was promised to be. The people begged the Utopian government to resolve the problem, but instead they fled to pre-made shelters and sent soldiers to control the rebellious, fearful citizens. The empire of safety became known as the Mechanical Hell, but was shortened to a simpler name: Mech. Can the rebellion free the struggling human race from the evils of their gigantic steel prison? They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world??
