It is a necessary tradition. Every hundred years, someone must be sacrificed to the Willow King, lest he let the plague that once consumed their town take over again. Ansois knew it would be him for a while. He was an orphaned altar boy with no one to miss him, no important skills to offer the town and no future prospects. The last thing he wants to do is offer himself up as this century's sacrifice but for the sake of his people he has no choice. All he can do is pray that the Willow King is a merciful god.

Alex Crane

9 parts Ongoing

I'm Alex Crane. A sixteen-year-old, living with his mother in a small town named White Willow located in the western farthings of Anmar. Sounds pretty right, well it is until you run into flesh eating monsters lurking in woods. No I'm not scaring yo.... ahh wait I remember there are no monsters in your world nor there is a thousand year old psychopath who knows how to bend magic and wants to have revenge on a certain bloodline (well that bloodline is supposed to be mine). Now after listening to myself I don't think I can defeat him alone how about you lend me a hand. Meet you in White Willow.
