Her pointer finger gently caressed the necklace of swindled gold around the base of her neck, wise stormy orbs of grey urging my answer. My hair brushed against the bone of my cheeks, a breeze of wind that felt disorientating, yet welcoming. How stupifying is this? Who am I, the girl from Alice in Wonderland? Suddenly, the clink of her cup alerted the drum in my ears. Pinching my left thigh, my eyes blinked. What should I say? Tentatively, I nodded my head, a smile creeping onto the pale rose stained gloss of her lips.
