Sophie Clarkson is the only daughter of Tom Clarkson. Sophie is best friends with Chlo, Maxine and Janeece. The group of four are like sisters, well Chlo and Sophie are basically Since Izzie Redpath died, but not only the Grainger's sisters. Sophie lost her own mum. Sophie is dating Alex Wright for 3 years since year 7.

After her fathers death, Harper mason returned to Rochdale in search of her mother, the one person who broke her heart before anyone else could. When Harper was two Rachel walked out on her and never looked back. The night before she confronts Rachel Harper goes out to a bar and hooks up with Tom Clarkson. Tom is grieving the loss of his fiancée and is drunk and isn't aware that Harper is a school girl. The following day Harper arrives at waterloo road after she tracks her mum down. Harper wants answers and wants to Ionia why she wasn't good enough. Rachel is shocked to learn her daughter has found her and takes her in. Tom is shocked as he realises Harper is not only a student but Rachel's daughter, but when harper learns she's pregnant will she do what Rachel did or will she be able to be a mum?
