The following is a work based upon the Murder Drones franchise. I do not own this franchise, all I can theoretically call my own is that which has not been shown in the series by the name of Murder Drones, and is not owned by any other person.
AKA, this is fanfiction.
Karl Pfeiffer is the host of an otherwise abandoned military relay station, which he uses to receive signals and broadcast tunes and tales to the wasteland of Copper-9. Helped in the aspect of sight by his old robotic companion Otuel, he tells of stories sent in, all in the barren safety of his little haven.
His memory of the UPR convoy that brought him to this planet still burns bright, but he has set aside astropolitics and now focuses on the planet he's come to know and, without the choice to leave, love.
These are some of the stories Karl broadcasts, or perhaps some of his own life.

Copper-9, an exoplanet with minerals to mine and a cheap, easy-to-make work force to mine them: Worker Drones. With Worker Drones comes Disassembly Drones, their "natural" predators. Sent from beyond to slaughter all of the cowardly workers who hide in bunkers for fear of death. Except Mallory. The bastard only stays inside to sleep all day in a nice warm bed and gives lip to anyone that wakes him up. So when a surprisingly short Murder Drone waltzes right into the bunker, panic ensues, and panic makes noise, and noise tends to wake people up. == Story of a sleepy eepy guy who wishes to his sleep paralysis demon that people would leave him the [BEEP] alone. But where's a good story where everything goes the way someone wants? Got the idea from some art randomly and thought, " Ay, that's pretty good."

Along the way, he meets new friends, uncovers more mysteries about the past, and tries to find a cure to the Absolute Solver. The first time I woke up, it was with a simple purpose: Dismantle. When we were sent to Copper 9, the planet was already a frozen wasteland. The sun had died, or at least that's what the file my system loaded upon landing said. The reason didn't matter to me. All I knew was that there was an endless list of targets: Worker Drones. The first one didn't even have time to scream. I reached him before he could react, my claws piercing his torso and extracting his power source. Over time, the Worker Drones adapted. They were no longer easy prey and began to organize. Some built stronger shelters; others developed makeshift weapons. Each mission became harder, more chaotic. My companions, V and J, seemed to enjoy the increasing violence. For them, every hunt was a game, an opportunity to hone their skills. I pretended to feel the same, but inside, something was starting to break. I made mistakes, let drones escape that I could have eliminated. V accused me of being "too soft," but she never reported me. Maybe because she thought I was harmless, just a temporary glitch. But I wasn't. I didn't know that soon I would find someone who would change everything, someone who would show me I wasn't alone in my confusion. But until then, my existence remained an endless cycle of unanswered questions and an increasingly hollow purpose. That void needed a revolution.

Note: to all the readers wondering why I un-published and republished the story for a second time this is due to some things I was paranoid about like getting hate, doxxed, threatened due to how bad the bad side of the Murder Drones fandom is but it would be a shitty thing for me to do to unpublish it. Also I'm not sure if I want to do a remake anymore like I said. And I have no current desire to continue the story past chapter 10 Serial Designation L once a disassembly drone now turned into a ultra drone with the purpose of curing the drones from the solver and undoing a lot of what the solver did and also taking down JcJenson but all of this wouldn't be a easy task for him. Note: This is a murder drones au (alternate universe) so there will be changes from the original story but it will follow a similar timeline to the original murder drones ALSO L WON'T BE THE ONLY OC and this is NOT A Y/N OR X READER STORY! This is also my first fanfic and the first time I ever write a story so I might write more stories in the future or this will be the only one. Also feel free to tell me any mistakes I made in the story. I'm open to criticism and comments. Also the reason for the mature rating is because of swearing and some gory scenes.
