"Levi just stop!"

the pain in his eyes was clear. Aspen pulled his arm out of his grasp and look up at him, tears threatening to spill over onto his pinkening cheeks.

"Just. Stop. I can't, I just... It's too dangerous. You can't come with me and by hell you're not-"

He stopped mid-sentence as a pair of lips crashed into his, sending his mind reeling. All Aspen could think about was the way his soft lips bumped up against his own, the taste of citrus mild on his tongue. The world seemed to melt away around them and Aspen only realized he was gripping Levi's neck when a knock came at the door, ripping them from the heat of the moment.

Andrea walked in, worry lines creasing her forehead. Aspen and Levi looked at each other. Andrea held up a strange pendant.

"We have a problem."
