As the Master Chief and the Arbiter rushed through the Covenant infested halls, they stopped before the Prophet of Truth. "So this is the mighty Deamon that you have sided with, Arbiter? No matter, we will all be on our way soon enough. The Great Journey has finally started, and you both will be left behind, for it is our gods' wills." As soon as the San'shyuum finished speaking, a deafening blast spread throughout all the combatants' ears on the Ark. A shining light blinded everyone, not just at the Ark, but throughout the universe... the Halo array had fired. As John 117 started to open his eyes, he was staring at the sky... what? It surprised John that he was alive, and when he started to look about the area he was in, he realized he wasn't alone. Many marines, Unggoy, Sangheili, and Kig Yar were there too, all breathing. As John looked around, he saw he was on top of a large metal platform, painted blue and yellow. As the other allied troops woke up, they could only stare in shock. One of the marines, while in his confused state said, "I have got to stop taking that damned vodka!"

(Archived) Ace in the Hole
It is the 33rd century, war still rages endlessly, and amongst the stars humanity remains fractured. The Galactic Empire, forged on the carcass of the old Republic, persists with its conquest for complete and unparalleled domination over the vast reaches of the cosmos, and to purge that which they see unfit as they spread their perversion of what the Republic once stood for. While independent rebel forces with their minuscule manpower each push back against The Emperor's cruel regime with all their might, they suffer tremendous casualties and are executed with exceptional cruelty. This new spark of a Galactic Civil War has already lit a fire too big to quell now, and will only get stronger. The Empire already has torn apart countless star systems, the inhabitants either joining the untold billions of the Empire, or being crushed under their heel. To be a man in such times is to live in fear, fear of the unchanging cruelty from the Emperor's iron fist, fear of stepping out of line. There is little hope in the midst of the scent of death and the cruel laughter of Imperial Officers, yet many hold on. Meanwhile in a distant and quiet forest of Kashyyyk, unscorched by blaster fire, a surviving Jedi and her family resides. Soon however, that will change, as the Empire has located the family. A young child known as Rosetta Carmine, child of the hunted Jedi, resides in a shack in a Wookie village unaware of how drastically this day will change the trajectory of her life, and the galaxy as a whole. Act 1 is very heavily influenced by The Force Unleashed 1 Act 2 is still in development (Descriptions will be updated as more is written, there will also be a lot of revisions bc I'm always changing shit so my apologies for that. Everything in this story is subject to change)
Spartan 118 (Halo Based)
When the Aliens, the Covenant, invaded, it seemed as if Mankind had no hope. Then the Spartans came to the rescue. These genetically modified super soldiers, originally meant to quell insurrectionist activity, now held the fate of their race in their hands. Many died for the cause, and many victories were won because of their intervention. Through all the dirt and blood, one rose above them all, Master Chief, or John 117. This ultimate Spartan II, paired with the special AI, or artificial intelligence, Cortana, led humanity to victory time and time again, escaping death more times than thought possible. However, after defeating the zombie-like Flood that threatened humanity and aliens alike, he disappeared without a trace. With hope at an all time low, and alien threats still on the horizon, something had to be done. This is the purpose of Steele, Spartan 118. Despite the process being banned after Spartan IIs, humanity is desperate, and so he's kidnapped, trained, and augmented the same as the original Spartan IIs by Dr. Catherine Halsey. The pressure is now on to replicate the Master Chief through him, and the road of Hero will not be easy. Secrets are kept from him, trust is broken, and hidden enemies threaten his life and those around him. However, Steele was chosen for a reason, and those who threaten the innocent better watch out. Preparations started surprisingly fast. It's amazing how motivating the threat of total annihilation can be. Allen smiled as he looked at everyone preparing for war and evacuating to defense shelters. Madison looked on in some bit of awe, men she would have pegged as petty crooks working side by side with cops and normal citizens. "Do you think we'll make it?" She turns to SupaSound. "We have to." He says, frowning. President Jack is on multiple phone lines calling the leaders of multiple other nations and telling them what's going on, what needs to be done, and how to go about doing it. The tension on his face easing whenever a nation pledges its support for this war. "Things might finally be looking u-" Tthey are interrupted by deranged chuckling, as it gets louder and louder, they see Timothy, smiling widely as he holds the struggling vice president and the vice president's wife by the neck in each hand. "Well isn't this cute, weak little nothings like you, gathering together to try and stop a god?" "He's not unstoppable, he was defeated before, we'll do it again, humans have caught up, I suggest you put those two down, unless you want a demonstration." Timothy smirks, "But I want a demonstration!!" He laughs and squeezes, SupaSound's suit activates, forming around him as he launches forward on sound waves before concentrating a blast at Timothy's face. Timothy disappears, dropping the VP and his wife. Madison sprung into action, barely catching them. "They're still alive!" She yells. Then, a line appears, from the sky to the White House, a line so dark it rejects reality, and is rejected in turn, time-space begins to distort around it, the world bending. SupaSound charges forward, even though he won't make it, he has to. Finally, the black portal cracks open, and the world around him explodes in blinding red light, followed by a voice."Was that humanity's best? I'd laugh if it wasn't so sad..."Complete
Vault 115
The scientists of Vault 115 know nothing of the horrors laying outside, waiting patiently for them to open their doors. Though they imagine, they hypothesize, they plan for the absolute worst. Creating super suits to protect them, whether from radiation or physical damage, they still feel as if they are not protected well enough. Centuries, generations, flitter by. Myths and hypothesis turn into facts and waiting for the inevitable. Frightened, scientists continue their studies, passing their knowledge from one generation to another, in hopes that perhaps they will find a way to protect themselves when the time comes to finally open the vault doors. There had been a counter in the main living area of the Vault, but as it counted down the time until the oxygen would run out, people kept getting worked up or scared. In response, the Overseer had it moved to the actual Vault exit, where only the Overseer had permission to go. As children growing up, we were always destined to be a scientist, to continue the research of our fathers and forefathers. We never questioned this, it was just the way things were. However, one day, two children were picked from class and taken away. They had never been seen again. All the other children in the class were confused, some frightened, some angry they had not been chosen. But no matter the emotions, it remained a mystery. A month passed, and two more children had been picked to leave the class, and they hadn't returned either. The children started to feel restless, and the parents of the missing children never said a word, only went to work and back to their rooms, never smiling. This month, the children flitter about the classroom nervously. This would be the day that they would take two more children, if they did it again. And, expectedly, the Overseer had appeared in the classroom. She calmed the children, then read two names off of her clipboard. And she read my name.Complete
