The shadow of war loomed on the horizon.
Mey'ara could handle just about anything. As the eldest daughter of the Metkayina Olo'eyktan, she had been training to lead her clan since the day she was born, having recently passed her Iknimaya to become a warrior in every right. She was as strong as stone.
Or so she thought.
Weeks before she left for Tatxwa ta Olo'eyktan, the annual journey of the Olo'ekytan to the islands beyond Awa'altu, unsettling nightmares began to plague her sleep. The horrors slowly chipped away at her stony exterior, making her believe she was going insane. To make matters worse, Eywa had suddenly gone silent, refusing to answer Mey'ara's prayers.
Leaving under the blessing of her mother and father, Mey'ara started Tatxwa ta Olo'eyktan, only to find another type of nightmare awaiting her at each island. While back home, trouble stirred at the arrival of a former Toruk Makto as her family questioned what this meant for the future of the Metkayina clan.
After a startling discovery deep into her journey, Mey'ara returned home swiftly, finding the last thing she would ever expect. Forest people. In specific one golden-eyed forest boy who slowly breaks down her walls and forces her to finally be honest with herself.
With war brewing and her family in danger, Mey'ara must make a serious decision that decides the future of herself and her clan. But the biggest question was this: was it too late? Would the Sky Demons steal her loved ones as they had destroyed the rest of Pandora?
Or would Mey'ara, ever the warrior, finally get the fight she always wanted?
