The exhausted boy walked slowly through the woods not quite sure where he was. Everything was quiet. No noise. Nothing could be seen but tall dark trees. He stopped to look around. A stick snapped. A boiling hot breath blew down his neck heating his back immensely. He held his breath and slowly turned around to face the dragon that pulled Teren’s wagon. “Did you think you could run?” Teren laughed mockingly. He swiftly turned around and met the loose dragon’s face. Deep red eyes burned into his, the bright white teeth of the creature’s had shown themselves for a snarl as the dragon snickered. Altu gasped and stepped back. “The amulet Altu. I want the amulet!” Teren threatened. Altu was cornered and there was nowhere to go. “I’d rather die.” Altu swallowed hard. His bravery was slowly collapsing and his curiosity was no longer there. Fear and swallowed him whole. Altu faced Teren trying to stay strong. Teren let out a deep laugh as Altu watched. “That can be arranged young one.”
