Ages ago the world of remnant was watched over by its creators, two brothers who governed the dark and the light. one created the inhabitants of the planet and life, while the other gave them free will and death. the people worshipped the brothers as their true gods. Until one day their creations turned their backs on them. all because of one wayward soul warped by loss and anger. in retaliation the gods cursed her to wander the world without knowing the embrace of death as well as starting over and erasing all signs of the world's inhabitants. afterwards they planted the seeds for new life to grow and left. "We will return once we see that our creations have achieved prosperity among yourselves". and so they left, the only signs of their existence being the cursed mortal and the shattered moon above the lands. But unbeknownst to them there was another god, one who became disgusted with the eradication and cursing of all their own creations. vowing to protect the planet and its inhabitants this god stayed and watched from the shadows, stopping whole hordes of the new Grimm creatures and protecting remnant and her people from Salem. His rage never ending, He awaits the day the two brothers return. so that he may unleash the wrath of remnant and her people unto them.

Once Fenrir is freed when Jormungandr shakes the worlds. It would break open the tomb holding Fenrir and then even the gods would be devoured.
