I have finally reached the point in time in a fandom where you are so engrossed in something, you have nothing else to do but write about it. I've been here before, I will be here again, but for now, here we go it's footy fanfic time. 

In this case, I pretty much went 'hey what if i wrote a story about my favourite afl player in a situation that should not be related to football at all but is' and proceeded to do exactly that. My grandest of apologies to any and all persons mentioned by name in this story. Especially Sam.

I've seen that a lot of fanfics about this sport are x readers or self-inserts, and other than my intense cry of 'WHY ARE THEY ALL CARLTON, COLLINGWOOD OR WESTERN BULLDOGS PLAYERS GODDAMNIT', that's never reeeallly been my jam. But my roots are deeply seeded in writing fics about the things I love, and when you add a sport to that list, don't think it'll change the way I write. Self-insert writers, I love you, I love your work, keep it up please, but I think it's right time for some versatility.
