This is the story of Amaryllis Daniels. She is 16 and was one of the trainees with Tris. But what if Eric was still alive? What if he met a divergent who changed his life. Starting with his best friends sister whom he loved dearly. 

Growing up in Erudite was pointless. Amaryllis was smart but she wasn't thirsting for knowledge all the time. Sometimes she wanted to go and do whatever she wanted without having to be told to she needed to go read a book. Don't get hee wrong she loves reading but she wanted more. 

And she finds that in Dauntless. But what happens when she enters a relationship with Eric the boy she loved for years when they were in Erudite. But what happens when she is told she's being hunted for being divergent. How will she react?
