After his mother signed him up for Inazuma High's intense Calculus course without his knowledge, Kunikuzushi Scaramouche is forced to navigate the mind-boggling course on his own.
An artist at heart, he desperately flounders as he hopes for a passing grade on the forsaken Calculus course in order to get into his dream school, Teyvat Academy of Arts. However, as it stands, he is failing every test miserably, with every tutor his mother ever hiring giving up within the hour.
On the trajectory of failing the course, Scaramouche resigns to his fate, until the teacher's assistant, Kaedehara Kazuha, offers to be his tutor.
Harboring doubt towards tutors, he agrees to one lesson. One lesson. Unbeknownst to him, their arrangement slowly blossoms into something more, something that Scaramouche has yet to comprehend.
