In the Utopia of Unico, where no person is too much alike, a girl, Courter Dessiny, is too different. She wants to fade with the background noise and fit into a community which thrives on embracing differences and flaws. She wants to go unnoticed and just be accepted, although she knows the only way for that to happen is to be exactly who they want her to be.

So, I'm putting it up, but I'm leaving it to you whether to enjoy it or not.
The Giver and a few other post-apocalypse utopian based stories were inspiration for this piece.

Trapped in my own head
She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. Keep An Open Mind {Lynn Gunn}
TW: this book may contain mentions of violence and of suicide. DISCLAIMER #1: I wrote this story when I was a teen and while some mental disorders are the focal point, they may not be accurate representations as I was far from being a psychologist. There are several things Lynn doesn't quite get about the world she lives in, which makes it harder for her to figure herself out. She is not your average teenager. She's young, intelligent, though something about her is off by now. Everyone is quick to misjudge and point fingers, everything and everyone is so corrupted that she's afraid she'll lose herself among a bunch of wandering, empty souls. Therapy can only help so much, depression is hard to die, and in Lynn's case it's caused solely by the fact she doesn't 'fit in'. She can't really find her place in the world. But there's something really special about her; Her dreams are haunted by a wonderful, mystical place. No one understands her, they think she's off her rocker, that she needs to cut her childish daydreams. But Lynn knows deep in her heart that place really exists, and she'll do anything to find it, with the help of some new found friends. [Completed✔] "Like in Fairytales this story has princesses and prince with their endearing passion and eternal love and compassion. People who aren't selfish but kind and think of others. People who are perfect." Well I could say this but then I would be lying. This is not a story about perfectionism but the opposite. Where the characters realize that their is as much horror in the light as there is beauty in the dark. Where they learn the only way you can describe life is that it goes on. That love is not finding a soulmate who tames your wildness but someone who runs wild with you. That the only way out of this labyrinth of life is through it. That it takes more than a pulse, a working pair of lungs and a pumping heart to call a homo sapien a human. It's a journey of people, being pretentious and perfect, to being a hot mess.
