Ava runs a successful doggy daycare in a nice neighborhood, with the help of her best friends and family. She was adopted by Mary and Shannon, the best moms in the universe. Camila is her most precious, closest friend. Ava also has a dog, Bubba. Apparently, Ava didn't date in ages.
Beatrice just moved to the USA from England with her best friends Lilith and Michael, in hopes of opening a bakery of their own. The neighbor across their new house happens to be the CEO of the doggy daycare, which is convenient, since Beatrice will need someone to look after her own dog, Tempest.
Puppies, humor, fluff, friends, adventures throughout the summer, hot British accent, gay disasters, all perfectly balanced.
"Sara I don't know if I lik-" She cut me off but this time, with words.
"I don't really expect you to like me back. I just thought this is the only time I'm going to get to kiss you sober and I take opportunities as they come."

Ava and Sara are two people you could never imagine associating with each other because of the high school cliche that popular people and nerds don't mix and that statement is more or less evident at their high school in Starling City. The two get partnered for a project and their platonic relationship starts off... unusually, to say the least, but the odd start becomes an inside joke and only brings them closer. The closeness is great but it makes it hard for Sara, who's feelings change for Ava. She has to deal with her crush liking another girl and Ava herself has to deal with Sara's inconsistent behavior as a friend. Everyday is a constant battle to get closer than close to each other and blossom out of their best friendship to something more intimate.
When things finally do get to the relationship stage Sara isn't how you'd expect. It's real for her.
