Too Many Maybe's
I used to think there'd be no living without you. Then, you walked away. Like it was the easiest thing in the world. We finally stopped making sense to you. So, you left. Why wouldn't you. It didn't matter that it still made sense to me. That I still held on to all those what ifs and unanswered questions of us. Still hoped for things to work out somehow. Still needed things to work out. Needed it like food and water. This story might not make much sense to you, reader. It was written for him. And in many ways for myself. How does one cope when someone close to them is gone? Some will do their best to move on, while others will hold on to the hope that they'll be back on their life. Occasionally, other people will fight until the end to have them back. True love means you have to fight for them, right? But not everyone has the determination to keep on fighting. I am one of those people who got tired of fighting and ended up hoping they'll be back. I got tired of looking for her, the only thing left I could do is to write and create a play in hopes that she'll find her way back to me. Unfortunately, all I could write is filled with tragic endings since I don't have a glimpse of a happy ending. Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by. These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.Complete
