And with such a goal in mind, she's bound to meet many people, including herself. Her other infinite alternate selves, that is.

Such a task tends to break anyone and everyone regardless of who they were, Amelia included. While Amelia was strong, her will solid as iron, she was still human through and through and it's only a matter of time before she succumbs to the insanity of her hubris if she does slip.
