When Callie is late to the Halloween party, Marie agrees to tell the others a story to kill the time. The story takes place long ago and is about a scientist that has no other dream but to create life. After many failures, he is forced to seek help from hooded figures that appear one night. He succeeds, but gets trapped in deal he can't escape from. A few months later, a shadow starts terrorizing the land of Inkopolis. It strikes at night, it's blade cutting down everyone that gets in it's way. One night, four travelers gather to stop the shadow, and go out to fight it. However, it is clear to Nova that while Inkopolis as a whole was amazing in his eyes, it is clear that he's not particularly welcomed with the rest of the inklings. With a city new to the octoling, comes a new life, and with that, new struggles. That isn't to say that newfound feelings aren't included... How will Agent 8 come to deal with these new challenges? This fanfic is all about family, love, and comedic adventures of the life of Agent 4 X Marie! I highly recommend you read the first book to understand these characters a little better! Becoming an Agent was never on Katsu's bucket list, until her best friend becomes missing in action. Now her only hope find him is to take up the mantle and descend to the kettles ink blazing. Part time vigilante, Kia's ready to bring her message of inter species tolerance to the next level: Octo canyon. However as not-so-friendly faces from the past start popping up creating a fresh start just got a lot harder for this octoling.
