What corrupts an innocent man? What drives him to corruption? What leads him to sin? What are the conditions that make him subject to and undergo this change? And what type of society produces such individuals?
Miroslav, a kind-hearted, and exceptionally talented young college student, dives into the somber and murky suburbs of Svyatnadomagrad, a gloomy and anarchic urbanized city consumed by greed and hedonism, to attend university and pursue higher education.
Originally from a small conservative rural town, Miroslav is haunted by his thoughts on conformity and individuality, and struggles living life as an individual within the concrete jungle, a very unfamiliar environment. As he tries to adapt to campus life and living with only himself, along with the overwhelming desolation and misery he faces, he is pulled straight into a maelstrom of mischief and poorly-made decisions, which further supplement his inner turmoil. He finds himself vulnerable to and easily tempted by the demons that lurk within the depressing slums of Svyatnadomagrad.
A dark and tragic story about a promising student's roller coaster of a journey to find answers to questions that had always troubled him: "Who am I? What does it mean to live? Is life worth living?"

Heavily inspired by classic titles such as Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, Albert Camus' The Stranger, and Dazai Osamu's No Longer Human, it explores a world from the point of view of a man who is emotionally detached from the rest of humanity and the world altogether.

Dull Eternity
A med student with a bright future tragically dies in a hospital shooting, but fortunately he gets reincarnated into a parallel universe where he lives a moderately good life and dies because of a drunk driver. But when he died in this world, he was reincarnated again instead of going into the non-existent void, and then this happened again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Cassian finds himself in an eternal constant of reincarnation across universes, he has tried multiple times to permanently die and go into the void, but he never succeeded in this. Instead each time he dies, he loses more capacity to care for existence. This leads to him becoming a nihilist, each world only has small differences, like if Abraham Lincoln lived a little longer, or if George Washington was never born, and so on. None of the worlds he gets reincarnated into have anything like magic or aliens, humanity is truly and utterly alone in every universe with no magic or anything supernatural at all. With his countless deaths and rebirths racking up to over a googolplex, he expects nothing to change. But wait a minute... why does he have paws in this life? ---------- It is important that you understand that this novel does NOT contain any explicit content, but there will at times be suggestive themes, tension, actions, and scenes. Each chapter in this book possesses a small fraction about his life, which leads to one question...what kind of person he is?. Why is "Talking Serenity" worth reading? 1. Ins and outs of the Modern World's Atmosphere The male character/figure that is told in this writing has a lifestyle background that likes to be alone (Introvert), who loves to observe human relations and tends to be traditional in establishing closeness with other people in his modern world. However, as time progressed, what he had inside of him slowly became worry and indecision in the eyes of many people. The increasing inner confusion of his generation that surrounds his steps in the modern world, of course, is not something that is easily ignored by him as a human being who still acquires traditional values in his soul. 2.
