A young girl comes to grips with fear at a time of peace in The Realm.But peace is a relative term it seems.The days ahead will change folks lives forever. The Realm On this world there are many continents,and large islands surrounded by vast oceans.with an assortment of species,Humans, Dwarves,and Elves. There are also Goblins,Trolls,and Dragons,tho dragons haven't been seen for a thousand years.wizards,witches,mages are also in this world and from all species. The Realm is but part of a large continent.with vast forests, huge mountain ranges ,and large plains.many lakes,rivers and streams,are scattered throughout the Realm. The original inhabitants of The Realm were Elves,(true bloods), their called,live in the Golden forest North east of the humans capital, called Aster. They keep mostly to them selves and the outside world.there are other tribes of elves known as half-breeds,they live as nomads and trade often with the other civilized people of the Realm,and many live in the cities and towns with humans.
Dragon's Wings
Rashmi is, at last, able to attend one of the Magic Allies academies. In all honesty, she can't wait to meet her dragon partner and have her life changed by magic. It sounds like something out of a fairy tale, and Rashmi kind of wants that life. She wants something more than the endless desert sands - she wants to reach out and touch her fingertips to the stars. The Magic Allies academies are places where magic is taught, and there are many who want to learn. There are many who have learnt of magic, but in a world of magic, danger still exists. Theodora's Dragon
"What does it mean?" Theodora asked. "It means you're a witch," Mathilda said softly gently putting a hand on her shoulder, "like me." Theodora just sat looking at her companion in surprise. "It's a good thing Teddie." "I didn't believe in witches." "What about dragons Teddie, do you believe in them?" "Not sure about dragons, why?" "The egg you touched hatched and that yellow bird you complained about following you is a baby dragon." Theodora looked around the garden and spotted the dragon. The little dragon chirruped pleadingly. Sit here and don't move. I'll bring the rabbit I was going to stew for dinner. It only took a couple of minutes then she returned with a bowl of meat strips. "Hold a piece of rabbit like this and just be still." Theodora held the meat as instructed and the little dragon floated down turning blue in color and carefully took the offered tidbit. I grew up in a world where dragon riders were revered for not only their bravery and looks, but also for their intelligence. Children would spend days on end studying just in the hopes that they would get accepted to the Rider School, and those who did get accepted left their homes like kings, followed with respect and well wishes. It had been years since a dragon rider had been accepted in the Rider School from my town, which was understandable since we boasted a population of only 100 kids in the acceptable age range. Every year we were visited by the Counselor, the man who decided who would be accepted, and every year at that time our town lit up. Festivities lasted the Counselor's whole stay, with competitions to test children's intelligence, stamina, strength, and looks set up to look like games. Every year my brothers and I would be disappointed by our results, until my 15th year, when everything changed....
