Searching Lucas

A post-abusive lifestyle has given Jess Jones life's magnetizing offers: a healthy adulthood, and a stable mindset. And a brain tumor at the age of twenty-three.

With sixty days left to live, Jess has made her death wish: to give her youngest, black half-brother, Lucas, the opportunity to grow in a steady, loving home, away from the environment that Jess had to endure. To find Lucas, Jess must find clues in the places of her past: her bigoted grandmother, her negligent father and mistress, and the church that almost abused her.

The adventure does not start once Jess finally finds Lucas. And it doesn't end until Lucas is finally safe.
