He walked out of the trees that morning-silent, shaking, eyes on fire with fear. I remember the way he said it: "There are villains here." And then he collapsed.

That's how I met him.

A kid with nowhere to go, a quirk that showed him every ugly thought people hid, and no one to protect him. But he still warned us. He still saved everyone.

I couldn't leave him after that-because I see him for what he is. Not broken. Just... surviving.

And I'll make sure he never has to survive alone again.
