Demon Falls (Gravity Falls x Demon Slayer AU)

The world was doomed, condemned to the newest most dangerous evil: demons. Demons hunt and eat everything they can find, including mystical creatures, but their favourite type of snack is the human flesh. Things started to get worse when people stopped being turned, but born demons instead, only bringing more danger into the world, and causing the beginning of the humankind extinction. The demons couldn't be killed by any simple weapon, but they had a weakness: the sunlight. Mountains in some sides of the world were bathed on sunlight day and night, humanity used the metal and sand to create weapons with the ability of killing those demons. The strongest allied themselves to create a world organisation known as Demon Slayers.

After years of the same cycle, with demons being mostly victorious, one particular demon slayer had an idea: What if demons -- including the born ones -- could stop eating flesh? What if there was a way to change their murderous nature? He needed to make tests, he needed to see the demons up close without killing them. That became his goal once he became the highest rank of the demons slayers: a pillar. He gathered a group of slayers -- who supported his idea -- and parted to a small town in Japan where there were told to have not just powerful, but born demons as well. Rumour has it some were very young, with that in mind, he decided it would be the perfect place to start his plan of saving the demons.

[Demon Falls is an original AU that combines the concept of Demon Slayer with the world of Gravity Falls.
