in this story we follow a young mexican female police officer in chicago. we see her past come back to hunt her, her future and what could be in her life.
cynthia didn't have it easy growing up. when she turned sixteen her father, julian changed. he became abusive to her mother, jocelyn. there was nothing for cynthia to do but call the cops and she did, eight times and they did nothing. they just called them "crazy mexicans" and left. one night her mother got home late from work and that made her father freak out so they began fighting, cynthia took a candle stick and kept hitting him until he let go of her mom than they called the police, only one person came and that was jay halstead.
