Liana is the sole heir to Arvetta. After years of preparation, the time has come when the neighboring kingdom of Grand Roth threatens to cut their land off entirely if they do not obey their ruthless laws.

But Liana's loyalty to her Kingdom cost her in more ways than one. In the middle of the night, her family's palace is attacked, and they are forced to retreat to their cottage hidden in the woods. Days passed, and no one came for them. Liana feared the worst-her beloved kingdom had fallen to the grips of Grand Roth and their immortal king.

She awoke to the sound of rushing waves, and in a blink of an eye, her home was washed away with the flood from the broken dam.
