19 year old Candace Witmore has recently moved from the country fields of Iowa to the big city of St. Louis. Missouri.
As the normal clichés are, she's running from her past and more dangerously she's running from God and her family back home. 
After getting an apartment with an old childhood friend, she introduces Candace to an online writing group called "The Writing Cohort of Modern day Scribes" and through them she goes on a journey that of course has many trials and tribulations.
