"Alex, where is she?!" Michael yelled. "Where's my girl at, huh?!" No one in the cafeteria said anything. It was dead silent. Eric and Serena Lee looked at me from the corner of their eye. "Okay, let's do this the hard way!" Michael held the gun up high and pointed it at Melissa. Before he could pull the trigger, I stepped out and said, "Michael, I'm here! I'm always here. . ." Sixteen-year-old Alexis Gregory and her newly divorced father move five hours away from their home in Columbus, Ohio, hoping to forget and forgive the mother and wife who left them for another man. With Alex's younger brother living with their mom she feels more alone than ever, but when Alex meets Michael he takes her pain away; caring for her and letting no one hurt her. However, when Alex tells Michael about the bullying that's been going on at school, he takes his revenge to another extreme. An extreme Alex and the rest of Millard High School will never forget.

I glanced down to her lips but then I scooted away while clearing my throat. She hmm'd, "You tried to kiss me again." I shook my head and said "Nope. I didn't, I tried not to kiss you, as you see." She rolled her eyes with a soft smile. "Maybe if you did let me kiss you...just once, I would stop trying." She sighed softly "I got my doctorate at 24 You know I'm not a dumbass right?" I just let out a soft sigh "Thank you for everything" I hugged her and held her tightly. She wrapped her arms around me. She pulled back and I looked at her lips. "I should go." I said softly. "You can have one kiss-" I kissed her. ________________________________________ India Jones is a true Chicagoan girl who, to unfortunate circumstances, has to move to Texas with her father.
